Training Centre Moved to Brive: Tulle Council Seeks a New Future for the Empty Building

The departure of the industrial apprentices' training centre (CFAI) took centre stage at Tulle's municipal council. The site in the prefecture town closed for good this summer, replaced by a brand-new building in Brive funded by the UIMM, the metalworking industries and trades union. The left-wing opposition criticised the majority's silence, and in particular that of Mayor Laurent Melin, who also chairs the Chamber of Trades and Crafts for Nouvelle-Aquitaine – Corrèze. Beyond the political sparring, the mayor said two options for taking over the building are being studied, including a proposal to Tulle Agglo to relocate some of its services there.
