The Corrèze Food Bank announced late last week the loss of nearly three tonnes of food after one of its freezer motors broke down. Repairs are estimated at 2,000 euros, while the lost stock was worth around 15,000 euros. The charity, based at 8 rue Louis Lépine in Brive-la-Gaillarde, is appealing for donations from local residents, online at faireundon.banquealimentaire.org or by post. The breakdown comes just weeks before the national food drive, scheduled for 6, 7 and 8 November 2026.
