Fuel Price Surge: Corrèze Farmers Demand a Higher Rebate
Anger is rising among Corrèze farmers after the surge in the price of off-road diesel (GNR). For the FDSEA and the Jeunes Agriculteurs, the department's leading unions, the 15-cent-per-litre rebate has become meaningless against such an increase. Farmers say they have no margin left to absorb the extra cost and are calling on the government for an immediate rise in the support scheme. A letter to that effect has been sent to Agriculture Minister Annie Genevard.
