The 44th Brive Book Fair opens this Friday, 6 November, and runs until Sunday, 8 November. The book train is due to arrive at 12:15 p.m., giving authors a little time before they take their places at their stands in the afternoon. More than 500 authors are expected at the Halle Georges-Brassens and at the Espace des 3 Provinces, which is dedicated to children's books and comics. The fair is gaining 1,000 square metres to make visits more comfortable. Entry to the signing areas is free. Last year the fair set a sales record of more than 1.16 million euros, and local author Christian Signol remained the best seller with 1,100 books sold in three days.
