Laurent Darthou set to take the helm of the Corrèze Department

Elected senator on Sunday 27 September, Pascal Coste is leaving the Corrèze Departmental Council and its presidency. On Monday morning, on ici Limousin radio, he announced that Laurent Darthou, mayor of Malemort, would succeed him at the head of the departmental executive. Because of rules on holding multiple offices, Darthou told our colleagues at Totem that he would hand back his mayoral sash and stay on as a deputy mayor, with the sash possibly going to Florence Duclos. Coste, for his part, keeps his seat as an opposition regional councillor.
