Laurent Darthou takes over from Pascal Coste as head of Corrèze

A new chapter opened on Friday 23 October at the Corrèze departmental council. President since 2015, Pascal Coste had to step down after being elected to the French Senate. Two candidates ran for the post: Bernard Combes for the minority group and Laurent Darthou for the majority group. As expected, Laurent Darthou, until now mayor of Malemort, was elected president of the department.
