Brive arts hub: bill could reach €20 million

The cost of Brive's future arts hub keeps rising: first estimated at €13.6 million, then at more than €14 million last June, it could now reach €20 million, not counting the dance studios, priced at €2.5 million. This week the town council approved the final preliminary design for the facility, which is due to bring together the visual arts and the music and dance conservatoires by 2030. The two National Rally councillors voted against, and two former National Rally running mates abstained. The rest of the council backed the project, which is meant to draw people from well beyond the town.
