The literary prize season opens in Brive-la-Gaillarde with the Tu l'as lu? – Crédit Agricole Centre France prize, awarded each year by readers aged 12 to 14 and 15 to 17. After a summer spent reading the shortlist, the jurors met last week to deliberate. In the 12-14 category, Jean-Michel Payet won for L'aventure étonnante (et même franchement époustouflante) d'Adélaïde Barbencieux : en Chine (L'École des loisirs); in the 15-17 category, Rachel Corenblit took the prize for Troisième chance (Nathan). Both authors will receive their awards at the 44th Brive Book Fair, held from 6 to 8 November.
