Tourism in Corrèze: a summer that holds up, despite the heatwave

Tourist numbers in Corrèze remained relatively stable this summer of 2026 compared with last year. July was boosted by the all-Corrèze Tour de France stage held on 12 July between Malemort and Ussel, followed by a rest day, and by festivals such as the Lovely Brive Festival. However, heatwaves and wildfires drove away part of the foreign clientele. On the spending side, families favoured comfortable accommodation over eating and spending out, particularly in restaurants.
