Drug ring in Ussel: up to five years in prison handed down in Tulle

The criminal court in Tulle has convicted four people over a cocaine and cannabis trafficking operation run in and around Ussel, in Haute-Corrèze. According to the Tulle prosecutor's statement, the sentences announced on Monday 14 September range from two to five years in prison, the heaviest including two years suspended with probation, a 30,000-euro fine and a ban on appearing in Corrèze. The defendants, aged 24 to 30, were operating notably in the centre of Ussel, and the main convict was jailed immediately after the hearing. Other alleged dealers are due in court soon under guilty-plea procedures.
