Tulle town hall has ordered three mobile linen shade sails, each measuring 25 m², from Corderie Palus, based in Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche. In spring, the sails will be installed in the playgrounds of several of the town's schools, then moved to the town centre as soon as the summer holidays begin. They are meant to reduce heat reflecting off the ground and tackle urban heat islands, for an investment of nearly 30,000 euros. For the rope-maker, taken over in 2018 with 5 employees and which had up to 16 two years ago compared with 6 today, the order is also a way to diversify its business.
