Yssandon recognised as a natural disaster zone

The commune of Yssandon, north-west of Brive-la-Gaillarde, has been officially recognised as a natural disaster zone following ground movements on 12 February. The decree opens a thirty-day window for affected residents to report damage to their insurance companies. After that deadline, compensation under the French natural disaster scheme can no longer be claimed. Residents concerned are therefore urged to contact their insurer quickly.
