Beynat: chestnuts in the spotlight for the 34th festival

The village of Beynat celebrates the 34th Chestnut Festival on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026. Saturday opens with a nature walk at 9.30am, a heritage stroll from 2.30pm to 5pm and a 5 km run at 7pm in aid of the French cancer league. From 9.30am on Sunday, the departmental prize chestnut fair brings together growers, a car boot sale, workshops, wooden games, music and brotherhood parades, storytelling and a merry-go-round, with roasted chestnuts, apple juice, crêpes and a tasting of the giant chestnut.
