Carmen Maura shines in "Calle Málaga" at the Ciné-club Vézère

On Tuesday 24 November at 8pm, the Ciné-club Vézère is showing "Calle Málaga" ("Rue Málaga" in French) at the Allassac cultural hall. This 2025 film by Maryam Touzani is set in Tangier, Morocco. Carmen Maura, a favourite actress of Pedro Almodóvar, plays an elderly Spanish woman whose quiet life is turned upside down when her daughter comes from Madrid and wants to make her sell the flat she has always lived in. It is a sensitive story about attachment to places, family ties and the right to choose your own life. The film runs for 1 hour 56 minutes. Tickets cost €6, or €3 for members.
