About this event
Until Thursday 31 December, the Corrèze Departmental Archives in Tulle are showing "Sapeurs-Pompiers de la Corrèze, Courage et dévouement", devoted to the region's firefighters from the 18th century to today. Archive documents, old uniforms, helmets and firefighting equipment trace how rescue services have evolved. The display also recalls the days when the village alarm bell sounded and residents formed human chains of water buckets to fight the flames. Open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, closed at weekends; details at archives.correze.fr.
