Chanteix Puts the Potato Centre Stage, from Field to Plate

The Tuberculture association is holding its Potato Festival at La Boîte en Zinc in Chanteix, with potato sales, craft stalls, a vintage car display, entertainment and a walk. Walkers set off between 8am and 10am on 8 or 12 km routes (6 €), then Régine Rossi Lagorce leads a free cookery workshop at 11am, ahead of the millassou meal at 12.30pm (18 € with the walk, 15 € on its own). The afternoon brings a free potato-throwing contest at 4pm and a "patates en robe des champs" aperitif at 6pm. At 7pm, a dinner-concert with "Dis le à tes voisins" offers an aperitif, autumn velvet soup, mussels and chips, cheese and tart for 22 € or 25 €, 15 € for under-12s, with the option of attending the concert only.
