Louyat Cemetery: in the footsteps of First World War soldiers

With the Armistice commemorations approaching, the guided tour “Here lie the soldiers of the Great War” takes place on Saturday 7 November at 2.30 pm at Louyat Cemetery in Limoges. Over 2 hours, visitors walk through the French and German military plots and hear the stories of soldiers killed in action. The tour is led by a City of Art and History guide and a representative of the municipal archives, who offer two complementary views of this place of remembrance. Booking and payment are required through the Tourist Office (05 55 34 46 87), and another tour is scheduled for 11 November.
