About this event
On Thursday 12 November at 8.30pm, the Louis Jouvet cinema in Uzerche is screening 'Wake in Fright', the Australian thriller directed by Ted Kotcheff in 1971. Young schoolteacher John Grant stops off in a small mining town on his way to a holiday in Sydney. After a night of gambling and drinking, what should have been a brief stopover turns into a days-long descent into hell. The restored print is being shown in partnership with CINA.
