About this event

From 1 December to 6 January, the Meymac Contemporary Art Centre presents the 22nd edition of its monumental Advent Calendar on the façade of the Abbey of Saint-André. This year's guest artist is Claude Viallat. The building's 26 windows become light boxes featuring his signature motif. The composition is inspired by Bach's "Goldberg Variations" as performed by Glenn Gould. Funded by a public subscription, the installation can be seen in full during the day and is lit up every evening from 5 pm to 11 pm.
