On Sunday 11 October 2026, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, the Théâtre de la Grange in Brive stages "Et pourtant je me souviens", a show devoted to Gisèle Halimi, the lawyer who became a leading figure in the defence of women's rights. Through childhood memories, interviews and courtroom pleas, the play retraces the great battles of her life. From her childhood in Tunisia to her commitment during the Algerian War and her fight for women's rights alongside Simone de Beauvoir, it gives voice to a woman devoted to justice and human rights.
