Chestnuts in the Spotlight: Three Loops and a Food Village in Coussac-Bonneval

On Sunday 18 October 2026, from 8.30am to 4pm, Coussac-Bonneval hosts the 4th Chestnut Walk, "La via de las chastenhas". Three loops of 9.3 km, 10.3 km and 13.1 km are on offer, partly along the kaolin trail, plus a 2.5 km storytelling walk through the chestnut groves, suitable from age 8. A refreshment stop at a chestnut grower's will reveal his craft and his tools. The chestnut village features food stalls, tastings, exhibitors, craftspeople, a hoop-maker's hut, workshops building nest boxes for bats and tits, "Nature and storytelling" activities and a mushroom exhibition by the Gabbrophiles de la forêt d'Épagne.
