“Fantastic Planet” reimagined by the Orchestre National de Jazz in Brive

About this event

On Thursday 17 December at 7pm, L'Empreinte, the Brive-Tulle national stage, presents “La Planète sauvage” (Fantastic Planet) in Brive, a film concert by Sylvaine Hélary and the Orchestre National de Jazz inspired by the cult 1973 animated film by René Laloux and Roland Topor. Blending music, theatre and cinema, the show opens with a projectionist about to screen his favourite film, but nothing goes as planned. Two actress-singers bring this futuristic world to life with video projections and film excerpts, driven by Alain Goraguer's score, which moves between jazz, funk and progressive rock. The show lasts 1 hour 10 minutes and is suitable for ages 10 and up, with tickets from 10 to 23 euros.
