Icons Unveiled at Brive's Cultural Centre

About this event

The Alliance Française invites the public to a lecture entitled "À la rencontre des icônes", given by Chantal Legay Gilbert, on Wednesday 7 October at 6.30pm at Brive's Centre culturel. These religious works, emblematic of the Eastern Christian tradition, follow very precise artistic and spiritual codes, from colours to symbols and figures. The talk sets out to decode their history and meaning so as to better understand this ancient art. Information on 06 65 76 92 53.
