Sarlat: The La Boétie Trail Lights Up the Medieval Town

On Friday 11 December 2026 at 7:15 pm, Place du Marché aux Oies in Sarlat will launch the third edition of the Trail de La Boétie, a night-time urban trail run staged by Périgord Noir Athlétisme. Runners head through the streets, lanes and squares of the historic centre after dark. Adults choose between 5 km (one loop) and 10 km (two loops), solo or as a two-person relay, starting at Place du Peyrou in front of La Boétie's house and finishing on Place de la Liberté. Children have their own races over 400, 800 and 1,200 metres, starting and finishing on Place de la Liberté.
