On Monday 21 December, from 6pm to 7pm, the Sarlat Périgord Noir tourist office runs a torchlit night tour of Sarlat's medieval town. Led by a qualified guide, visitors spend an hour exploring the town's winding lanes and historic squares. It is an unusual way to discover its façades, monuments and secrets in the run-up to Christmas. A second tour takes place on Monday 28 December, also from 6pm to 7pm.
