On Sunday 25 October, from 10.30am to 6pm, the church square in Vars-sur-Roseix hosts the Autumn Festival, also known locally as "Vars fête l'automne". On the programme: apple juice made and sold on site, chestnuts, tourtous pancakes and black pudding, alongside a local produce market and a craft exhibition. It is a chance to rediscover the flavours of the season, meet producers and craftspeople and head home with full baskets. A tasty day in the heart of the village.
