From Saturday 5 December to Saturday 6 February, the inspected truffle market returns every Saturday from 8:15am at the Salle Brassens in Brive. Fresh Tuber melanosporum truffles, the Périgord black truffle, are on sale, each one checked by approved inspectors from 7am. The market officially opens at 9am with the ringing of a bell. A prize-giving market will also take place on Saturday 9 January, in the middle of the foie gras fair season.
